I remember the first time you walked up to me.

Let me teach you a game you said.

You bade me to follow orders.

I, in awe, and in all innocence, complied.

I was too young to understand the nuances of your game

And I walked deeper and deeper into the unending mesh.

You thickened and slackened your fine threads

Weaving the most intricate of webs...

All the while I played into your hands

Not knowing there’s no way out.

You bade me play roles I was fascinated by.

I played a commando the time you handed a real gun into my hands...

I remember tasting blood the first time.

I was a mock-huntsman on a shikaar- so you bade me believe,

Before I knew it my prey changed shape and size.

One day it began to bear a human face...

I helped change counters of history

My role would be important – so you bade me believe.

I look back today and ask who am I?

A rakshak? A raakshash? A go between?

I have not grasped your game yet

‘Cause I have only vague memories of what you said it will be.

This gun- your gift to me is the only language I know today.

I will never know your game - you left me no way of knowing...

Does God Exist?

Hi,

GOD - The etymology of the word is unknown like God himself. The best effort by an anonymous linguistic was that it is the abbreviation of the words Generator, Operator and Destroyer. Some say God is shapeless, some say it has shape and various idols have been made from time to time. I am often confused whether he exists or not. By dictionary definition, I am an agnostic, i.e., I am not not sure whether God exists or not. He (according to law she is inclusive in he) might exist, he might not. So, I thought of taking your help in understanding the concept of God. So, we are starting a new contest -"Does GOD Exist?"

Write a blog post proving the existence or inexistence of God.

The rules of this contest are:

1. The post can be of any readable form.
2. The language of expression should be preferably in English. You can also write in any other language but an English Translation should be provided alongwith it.
3. There is no word limit.
4. The post should be an exclusive piece written for it. You can also send previous published articles but those articles will be published as guest entries and will not be eligible for the contest.
5. The title of the post should not exceed 7 words.
6. Jury's decision will be considered final and no complaints will be entertained.
7. Bamboo Lounge also reserves the right for publishing the articles and the posts sent for the contest should not be published in any other blogs, or any other publishing without prior written permission.
8. All posts should be sent to god@friedeye.com by 28th February'2010.
